[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Out of the box the unit is holding temps between 250-301 even when set on smoke. The company is sending me out a new temp probe. Still not a happy customer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It arrived on time. Ease of putting it together, I would give it a 9/10. The instructions leave a little to be desired, but if you really study the pictures you can figure it out. Now I have only used it once, but it worked very well. I replaced a Grilla Silverback and I have to say, the control panel on the Z grill is so much easier to use. From startup to shutdown it performed flawlessly. And it seemed to hold at the desired temperature much better than the old Grilla. Further use will I hope confirm this. Ask me again in 6 months.

Great pellet grill. Relatively easy to assemble but even easier to use. Smoked a pork butt for pulled pork and baby backs so far. Very good.

We’ve used the new smoker four times in the first week we’ve had it and for the most part it has been great. My only complaint is one side of the grill is hotter than the other, I’m guessing because the heat shield is farther away.

When will the PID upgrade kit be available?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The large temperature swings and inability to maintain consistent low temps with the standard controller and sensor have me second-guessing my purchase. Prior to purchase, I had read that a PID upgrade would soon be available. I see that it IS actually available in Australia, but not in the USA for some reason. It's a good smoker, but it could be great.
