Temp problems!!

Not great!! Temp is running 100 plus degrees above set temp! No call back from support so l can talk with someone live! Been talking this messenger and am going to try their troubleshooting ideas tomorrow! Messenger has been excellent trying to figure out the solution!

well first cook on the grill

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Has been good , it will take a few more cooking to get me used to the grill. Only concern I have so far it the temp probe wire may over heat. I sits next to the cooking chamber very close! There is no protective covering over it and it is with in a 16th to 1/8 of and inch from it when it reaches high temps. I am looking for a cover to put over it maybe some heat tape. First steaks did well. Found out where the hot areas of the grill are and where the colder temps are with and infer red reading. Smoke flavor great and easy to put together. let me cook on it a while and I will know more.

Temp Dial Fluctuation

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I decide to cook a pork shoulder to somewhat season my Z-grill first. However, after following the Z-Grill booklet and setting the grill to smoke, lid open, and hearing the Z-Grill pellets burning (about 15 minutes), I turned the dial to 275. What I noticed was that the temp rose to over 350. So I turned the dial back to 225 and the temp began to drop a bit, so I turned it back to 275, but the temp never dropped below 290. If this is user error, please provide correction, other than that, I'm puzzled as to why the temp will not remain on my desired setting.

I'm really enjoying this grill

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 1000E has plenty of room for smoking and grilling, and it's easy to clean when the cooking is done. I've smoked and grilled a variety of meats and potatoes on this grill; the results have been outstanding. Highlights from my meals include the most moist smoked chicken I've ever had, and the best smoked ribs I've ever tasted. A couple of more highlights are grilled pizzas and prime New York strip steaks; beautiful results all around. I'm really happy with my purchase and look forward to trying some new recipes with it, soon - smoked artisan breads, anyone?

GRATES ARE BENT.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the 1000E and after 5 cooks it wouldn't hold temperature. I have been in contact with service and they are sending me a new part, so hopefully that fixes it. Other than that, I love the smoker.
