The color quality and customizability on these lights are amazing. However, if you plan on doing any design that requires 90 degree turns then I suggest opting for leds without the epoxy coating on them. The coating makes it hard to do 90 degree turns. For example, I was working on a project in my room that had the leds go across the ceiling, and I had to 3d print special turn pieces since the leds did not want to work with the regular turns I had. If you are stringing these around a desk or the perimeter of a room they should work fine. With the latter, the corners wont be completely flush but will bend down to turn correctly.

Warning - Connectors Do Not Exist

I bought these light 3 weeks ago and after literally hours of search for connectors to spice them, I came to the determination NO ONE makes 12mm 4 pin connectors. So, I decided to attempt to cut and solder them after watching some YouTube videos for inspiration. At the end, I’m now out the cost of the soldering equipment and a 32-foot Govee Strip Light Pro. My suggestion if you need to jump an area of your house, buy the older light strips so you can easily find connectors. Also, don’t let the YouTube videos fool you, it’s much harder to solder Govee light strips they try to lead you to believe, at least the “2 Pro”. It’s very easy to damage the strip and just not worth the time, energy, and money. With that being said, the lights are beautiful, so I’ll be buying 2 boxes and 32-foot sets and just use the app to black out the sections I need to jump.

Great lights horrible mounting tape

The lights and the app are awesome! The so called 3m non stick tape on the back and the straps doesn’t hold 6” of the lights for a few seconds. Be prepared to put many straps just to keep them up
