I have been very happy with the Govee Outdoor Ground Lights 2 overall. The lights work reliably, are bright, and look great once installed. For my home, the spacing between each light is just right and made it easy to get even coverage without feeling cluttered or sparse. Installation was straightforward, and once everything was in place, the finished look was exactly what I was hoping for.
My only real complaint is the lack of extension cable options for the 24VDC barrel connector that runs from the power adapter to the light controller. Ideally, the controller should be placed close to the power supply, since that usually ends up inside an in-use or weatherproof box. From there, it would make much more sense to run the standard Govee three-wire IP67 extension cables to the lights, similar to what Govee does with the Permanent Lights Pro using screw-down IP67 male and female connectors. If that approach is too complex, even a simple two-wire 24VDC, 20-gauge barrel connector with IP67-rated ends would be a big improvement. That would at least allow the entire system to be positioned farther away from a 120V outlet when dealing with longer runs.
Aside from that limitation, the lights themselves really shine. They look fantastic at night, add great curb appeal, and feel like a solid, high-quality product. I am already experimenting with ideas for DIY setups and custom layouts for future holidays, and now that everything is installed, I can confidently say I am very happy with them.
