These Govee outdoor string lights are awesome. Setup was super easy—just hang them up, plug them in, and connect to the app. The colors and effects are next level. I can switch from a soft warm glow for a chill evening to bright fun colors when we have friends over, and the music-sync mode is a blast. We’ve had a few heavy rains and some hot sunny days and they still look brand-new—no flicker, no fading. Everyone who comes by asks where I got them. If you want outdoor lights that are durable, smart, and just plain fun, these are it.
I bought the long set of light 96ft and loved them but it wasn’t nearly enough when I went to buy more I realized you can not add more sets to the same string. These would be a great product although expensive if you could. But it is kind of worthless as is. Apparently you can group lights in the app but it seems like a huge pain to run multiple power cords to the same spot
I just bought the Outdoor Clear String Lights for my screened patio and just love them. I like that I can choose from a variety of colors and themes, and I use the auto-run function to turn them on and off. App is pretty easy to use. Installation was a breeze. Light quality is bright and clear. Would recommend!
These lights work way better than I expected. They fire up instantly, function flawlessly, and throw off a surprisingly classy amount of ambient lighting—enough to make your backyard feel like a chill outdoor lounge instead of a crime scene. Plug them in, hang them up, and boom: instant vibes.
That said, I do wish the bulbs were spaced a little closer together and that there were more of them. Right now it’s less “twinkling café aesthetic” and more “polite lighting that respects your personal space.” Also, while the clear plastic “shatter-proof” bulbs are great for clumsy humans and aggressive weather, I can’t help but side-eye them and wonder how yellow they’ll look after a few summers of sunbathing.
Overall, these lights absolutely get the job done and look great doing it. If they ever release a version with tighter spacing, more bulbs, and plastic that doesn’t slowly turn into a 1997 Tupperware lid, I’ll be first in line. Would still buy again—my yard has never looked this put together.
