Great lights. Very bright when needed and the connectivity with Alexa and my blink cameras makes them so much better. I can see them to turn on when a camera senses motion and control them with Alexa. The Govee app is also easy to use.

I love GOVEE my lighting systems!!!
After reading all the negative reviews on how water buildup gets inside the bulbs I decided to make some upgrades to the 144 ft kit.
I strongly recommend using the “T” clips that came with the kit. I noticed most of the installs DID NOT use the clips. I understand by NOT using the clips the length CANNOT be fully be extended or utilized, but shortened if you want to cover large spans. But this is where the flaw is. You will stretch the wires for each bulb so tight it causes an opening small enough to let water seep into the bulb during wet weather.
Using the “T” clips will greatly shorten the length of the area you are trying to cover. Plan on purchasing a set a little longer than your actual measurements by about 5ft. If it’s gonna cause you to end up with too much extra lights then stay as close to your original measurements (use your own discretion)
How I used preventative waterproofing methods to extend the “life” of my lights. I used black adhesive sealant, silicone RTV on each bulb.
This is the FINAL step of my installation process. Once you get all the “T” clips put in place and the length of the lights evenly spaced then you add silicone to each bulb. Apply around the wires and cover the gap in the middle. It hasn’t rained yet here in Folsom, CA. I want to see if my waterproofing method will stand against the wet weather.
