This unit came with my new GH7 as a package. Until now, I’ve recorded with a 24-bit Tascam DR40X mounted to the cage on my older GH5, and sent its headphone output to the camera’s mic input during recording. With the LUMIX XLR adapter, I’m getting high quality audio in camera but there are two issues I’m hoping to solve; first, the adapter does not allow attachment of a top carry handle on my Smallrig cage. Second, there’s enough gain in 24bit mode but the gain drops significantly in 32bit. This might be by design, but I can’t get enough volume to monitor with headphones?

Thank you for your rating! We sincerely appreciate you took the time to provide us with your feedback! Regarding the top carry handle issue, the LUMIX XLR adapter may not be compatible with certain cage setups. We recommend exploring alternative mounting solutions from Smallrig. As for the gain issue in 32-bit mode, it's normal for 32-bit float recording to have a lower default gain. We suggest adjusting the input gain or increasing the camera’s audio settings to improve headphone monitoring levels.
32Bit Audio recorded to a camera internally! Fantastic
