I expected better from the reviews I read, a bit disappointing. The oven does NOT have a broil function, never thought of checking for that since all my previous ovens had that.
Also even on the highest toast setting, English muffins and sour dough bread need multiple cycles to toast, then to stop it mid way, you have power it off. It also does not have a bagel function, also a disappointment.
I do like the small footprint, one of the good selling points.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Perfect toast fast!

I'll just start by saying we love this little toaster oven. It makes toast super fast and toasts so evenly. It can bake, but needs to be carefully monitored because the elements are so close to the food that things can quickly get too dark. The reasons for 4 stars are: it's not easy to clean, the crumb tray has warped, the push-button temperature control is awkward and weirdly calibrated, one of the feet came loose and the screw was stripped so I had to use epoxy to cement it back on, some of the markings on the control panel are wearing off.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Nice but stopped working

I purchased this 2 1/2 years ago and have been very pleased with how it functioned until now. The bottom heater has stopped working so it only toasts one side of the bread. I would have expected this to last many more years for the price. Disappointing.

This toaster makes perfect toast and reheats food quickly and easily. It toasts so much quicker than my old toaster. I love it so far. My only complaint (and it's a major one for me, is that the electric cord comes out from the side of the toaster towards the front instead of in the back. No matter how hard I've tried, the cord sticks out where it can be seen, which is very annoying for me. It's such a nice-looking appliance and this feature really ruins the aesthetic.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great but short-lived

I received this toaster oven for a gift a little over a year and loved it, but then the bottom heating element broke-- the ceramic rod broke in half and now rests on the bottom of the toaster floor. I had a terrible Black and Decker that I used for about 15 years, and I'm very disappointed that this expensive and nice toaster oven can't be used for more than a year. I've looked up videos on how to replace the heating element and it involves dismantling the entire toaster. Panasonic, any advice?
