This watch lasts forever, has great tech under the hood, and software has been excellent. I've been getting a lot out of the coaching/suggested run features in particular. Purchased this over the lower tier forerunners so it will last during some upcoming long ultras.

I have upgraded from the Forerunner 235 because that battery was going, and I have been very impressed with all of the different metrics, especially training load and HRV. Would highly recommend!

Finally upgraded from the apple....

The watch is great. It gives great insight to your training and performance. It does so much it takes some getting used to. I still haven't figured it all out. But the battery life and features are miles ahead of my old Apple Watch. If you are looking for a simple pedometer watch you don't need the 955. You can go with a lower model.

This watch has been much better than my Apple Ultra. The running workouts are really great and easy to program.
Got lost on a run without my phone and the watch map routed me back to start which was awesome.
Battery life is great- typically over a week.
Removed all phone notifications which is really nice.

Fantastic multi sport watch

I upgraded from the Garmin Forerunner 645 music. As an avid triathlete I needed the true multisport function. This watch goes above and beyond with performance metrics and the battery lasts incredibly long (up to two weeks for me) with at least 1-2 hours of activity/GPS use a day. I was between this and the FR 965, but I settled on this one since all the capabilities seemed the same (or were coming to the 955 soon) and I don't need an OLED screen. Overall solid piece of tech.

Long battery life with good metrics

I use this watch for running, backpacking, and everyday activity. I love the suggested workouts feature and the Morning Report which gauges your training readiness based on recent activity, sleep quality, and overnight HRV measurement. Included maps are a great resource. Also love the battery life. Essential for multi-day backpacking trips. Lightweight and comfortable on the wrist.
