Great features, however…..

I am a fan of Garmin. I really like the watch and its features; however, just like the previous forerunner generations, the altimeter starts faulting after 14 months or so. I was told that it’s an issue that has to do with pool chemicals/chlorine and it is an industry wide issue. I get it, but as a triathlete that finds himself purchasing a new watch every 2-3 years, it becomes not cost effective.

Terrible for pool swims

It has never been correct on the yardage in the pool. I swim outdoors. It's important to me to see EXACTLY where I am at the 100 mark. I test it with a regular watch and tap the lap at every 100. The garmin is always wrong (yardage and lap time).

Excellent watches, except for build quality

I knew exactly what I’m buying 2 years ago. Good watches, lightweight, great functionality, battery life is great. I’ve been wearing them almost exclusively as smart watches as I do cycling and rarely other sports. Never dropped them, hit them or whatever. Only to find that screen is starting to detach from base on top.
Zero scratches, nothing and they did this after only 2 years. For the price they are selling for that’s simply unacceptable.

Love Everything About It!

I bought this to compliment and update from my Garmin Fenix 6 Solar. This is a great model, awesome features and love the size of the face when running and racing. I no longer have to live the Apple nightly battery life recharge.

Loving the new data

I have gone from the Garmin 910 to the 935 to the 955. Each time I have enjoyed the new data points to help me dial in my training. I particularly enjoy the additions of training readiness, endurance score, pulse ox, and body battery. It helps me take the guess work out of where my fitness stands day to day.

Mostly Good

I bought this during a Prime sale day. Was planning on the higher end garmin, but sale made it a good buy. It does a lot! Some is extraneous and one or 2 features missing from higher end models. Been using it a month and I am reconciling statistics to my Edge, Polar and Rouvy stats to determine best one to measure from
Configuring and some edits (like editing a strength planned workout for actual reps vs planned) are very difficult, not intuitive and not in the documentation. I haven't checked support or other blogs yet
I like the watch a lot, not sure I'd feel the same if I paid full retail

Seamless Transition from the 935

I am very happy with the bells and whistles of this watch, but even happier that most of the button functions are exactly the same as the 935. I love the touchscreen and the fact that sleep score is part of this version. It feels like a huge upgrade without a big learning curve.
