So far 5 cooks in and it's has flamed out 3 out of the 5. Have done all normal stuff I have done on many types of pellet grills. I have ensured everything is over the drip tray. They grease drain is very poorly designed. Definitely not impressed but this version of the Z grill.

Considering what I paid, I think this is a good basic smoker. My chief complaint is temperature control seems to be around 20 degrees, plus or minus.

I wish I would've bought one years ago. Controls are so easy, flavor is unbelievable and it keeps very consistent heat temps (-2+6)

The grill is great, initially I had a small issue with the lid but customer service quickly replaced it. I smoked a rack of pork ribs, a brisket and a pork butt at once. It’s great for my family of 5. The sear option is why I selected this model and it works pretty good, you can only sear over a small opening but it’s big enough to do a large tomahawk steak. Temp stays pretty steady. Overall I would recommend this grill.

Nice, but has it's negatives.

Pros: great flavor, much less expensive to "feed" than a charcoal grill. Great to be able to walk away and know the food won't burn.
Cons: very hard to clean. The top rack covers the whole lower cooking surface, greatly reducing access. Take a LONG time to heat up, especially on cool or cold days, even with the insulating cover (which doesn't fit very well. It does not cover the back of the grill and the velcro straps just hang, they dont wrap around anything.)
The max I can get this grill to is barely 450 degrees. No idea how to sear a steak, the flame is so small and contained.

I love our new pellet grill! The food tastes amazing and the two mystery pellets bags we got were fruitwood which adds an incredible flavor to the steak and chicken! Highly recommend it! 5/5!

If you are on the fence about a smoker, don't be and grab a Z-Grills smoker. I love my L6002E that I received 2 weeks ago. The 3-2-1 ribs are awesome!! I wish the grill cover would have came with it.
