Defective

I bought this lamp and did not put it together right away, when I did try to put it together the lamp section did not fit into the stand. the company I bought it from is now closed and I am stuck with a very expensive defective lamp
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor design as a floor lamp

Just purchased this product and planned on using it as a floor light. When I went to put it together I found the post and upper lamp assembly will not go together since the post and upper assembly don’t have the same diameter. The light is bright and the three settings are nice but so far haven’t been able to get any help with troubleshooting the problem.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hard to assemble

I just bought at a reduced price from a retailer going out of business. I was so excited to get this light as I had been wanting it for a very long time.
First the Cons:
1. It indicates it’s a 3-in-1 light. Unfortunately, to change from floor to table lamp you have to disassemble the lamp taking the lamp base off and removing/installing the extension.
2. Instructions are not very detailed and in some places incorrect, i.e. refer to the wrong letters making them difficult to follow.
3. The lamp portion doesn’t NOT attach to the extension to make a floor lamp WITHOUT force or modification. I had to use a dremel to ream out the inside of the plastic coupler because I still wanted to have the capability to use the clamp (3rd) function.
4. Seems very wobbly when you are trying to adjust the light, magnifier, and clamp.

Now the Pros:
1. I like the power outlet which lets me plug in a tool.
2. Heavy base seems like it will keep from tipping even though it is wobbly.
3. I like being able to (now that I’ve done manual modification) move from flow lamp to clamp with ease. Just wish I could have the same option for table lamp.

Cannot assemble

Same problem as others. This product can only be used as a table lamp, not as a floor lamp. It appears that the coupling to the floor piece was incorrectly produced the diameter is wrong. It will work if you turn the coupling upside down, but then the coupling will not attach to the Floor rod.. It might be just these latest versions were incorrectly made does work as a table lamp and the clamp to the table works. However, I bought it as a floor lamp.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I need a fix for this

The light is bright, but I mainly wanted it as a floor lamp and I am having the same problem as another reviewer (Chris D) where the lamp shade assembly (G & H in the diagram) will NOT fit into the base (B in the diagram). The instructions say "The shade assembly (H) should be flush with upper pole (B) and free to rotate." This is impossible with the parts that I have.

BAD PURCHASE!

If I had done more research I would not have bought the OttLite Ultimate LED 3-in-1 Creative Station with Magnifier even though I have good experiences with OttLite products. Just tried to assemble and really wanted a floor lamp. But like all the other reviews, the shade assembly does not fit the floor lamp. My other big disappoint is I thought I could EASILY use it all three ways. That is not the case. If I EVER get the lamp attached to the base, it is not an easy process to make it a desk top for a particular project. DO NOT BUY THIS MODEL!!!
