So far the printer has performed well. I do miss some of the features that my older printer has. I may be old fashioned but I would like to have Ethernet. Also I liked the card reader that my old one had. Perhaps Canon will bring back some of the colors that the used to have instead of just black or white.

Borderless printing

I love the borderless printing feature. I can't really tell if or when the ink is low, the window for the color ink levels is dark. It doesn't distinguish which color is which or whether it is low, which is important because of the dire warning in the manual to never print when the ink is below a certain level.

It’s OK…yes, just OK

It’s ok. When it works, it works. Nothing to brag about. But when it doesn’t work, man do I want to throw it out the window! Once you’ve completed your set up, may the printer gods help you if a print job should fail. OMG it’s a PITA to get it back.
The actual print color is OK, at best. The print quality just isn’t there. I haven’t printed a photo yet but will report back when I do.
I guess what I’m trying to say is that printing shouldn’t be this cumbersome and aggravating.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

When my big Image Class Canon printer finally gave out, I hated the thought of changing to something I didn't know very well. The staff at Canon Support not only helped me decide that I didn't need that big Image Class, again, but they walked me through ordering what I needed, and the complete set up. I'll admit that I was already resistant to the change of a different printer since I had over 6 good years with my old Canon. When my new MegaTank was all set up and ready for me to "take the wheel", I was anxious and expecting problems. But I knew the Canon support staff had been so very good in my past that I completed my first download/update thing without a hitch. The support helper advised me to just read the little screens and do what I was advised to do. I can proudly and cheerfully say that I've completed a second download/update thing with confidence. I love the printer and I love knowing that I have that support staff on the other end of my phone call. I look forward to continued great printing, copying and I might even try a scan one of these days, ha ha. Color me "satisfied".

Ink problems

It worked at first. Now every time I try to print the ink colors aren't printing and the tank won't accept any more ink. I fix once problem only for another to occur.

Very reliable and works effortlessly on WiFi

We’ve used this printer for almost one year and it’s been the most reliable printer we’ve ever owned. It’s been perfectly reliable connecting to WiFi each time we turn it on. We can print from our Apple devices and my Laptop, wirelessly.
My Wife and I are in our late 60s and we use this printer almost daily for printing construction bills and correspondence. It saves so much money compared to those ridiculously priced HP cartridges.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is a really great printer! For clarity, I was sent a free sample to test it out, but I have to say - I would totally buy this printer based on the value and performance. It prints so crisp and clear, even with heavy and bold color imagines. I also print double sided very often and my previous printer I had to manually reload, but this printer automatically flips the pages for you and prints on both sides! It’s such a time saver! The mega tanks are also great because you don’t have to change the ink as often and I plan to sign up for the subscription service so I’ll never be out of ink. Overall this printer is an excellent value and I highly recommend it for your family and small business.
