Magical Movements

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the Barbie Classics at home. The fabric used in making the dress is od excellent quality and made / sewn well. The boots are a nice accessory. The ability to move the arms, legs, feet, chest, and hands are marvelous. And the tilting of the head is so realistic. The hair is too stiff, and the earings being in a static position do not go along with the rest of the moving parts. The eys and skin tone are amazing, but i cannot tell if she is Asian or Latina. The fingers are a bit long, and I'm not sure why they are stuck together; maybe to keep them from breaking? I think the versatility and movements of this doll will be a key to kids wanting to play with Barbie over and over and over.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Barbie, is something my spouse said she enjoyed a a child. As a collector, the details on this are incredible. I'm not sure that it will make it out of the box but having it on the shelf to look at is good enough. Thanks for the memories

Pretty idea, but looks robotic

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Barbie basics are a cute idea for collecting, but really not a super fun look for kids. I liked the idea, but the doll I received is shown in marketing to have a pretty bob that curves under, but really is board straight. I’m not a fan of the joints that show - I’d prefer the legs that are more tightly attached and look realistic.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A Barbie Beauty

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the Basic Barbie! The doll is such a beautiful doll. Her facial features are simply pure perfection. I love her skin tone. The Basic collection has so many options to change out heads a use your imagination with your collection of basics. This is a well constructed Barbie. I would recommend Barbie Basics for every Barbie collection. Model no1 is pretty. The entire collection is pretty. Got to get the collection. Packaging is very well done also. Vee happy Barbie fan here.

Pretty face, not so pretty hair.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I picked this doll because she's a facemold I don't have in my collection. I like to unbox my dolls and redress them. Her face is very sweet! She's a made-to-move with chest movement, but not waist.
Initial thoughts/observation when unboxing:
1. Awful stiff hair! In box you can see that she has a helmet head. Looks nothing like the
2. There's quite a bit of debris in the box that would drive me nuts if I was the type to keep in box.
3. The earrings had a little plastic disc between the face and earrings. I guess to keep from scratching/green ear? The posts felt very flimsy and the paint was already flaking off on the post.
4. The dress is kept in place with tape on the thighs and shoulder.
5. Mine had hair glue on her face, it came off with water.
6. It was nice to just pop her head off like an old Barbie! Easy easier to wash her hair.
7. Mine had some funky rooting/misrooting going on, there was a large lump under the helmet hair.
8. Once washed, her hair cut wasn't very even.
9. The dress was a slightly thicker poly then what is usually seen on the playline dolls, but other than that it was a very basic construction and shape.

Overall I like her, but I am very disappointed by her hair. If something is basic, it needs to be on point.

A little basic but fun!
