I purchased the AirVisual Pro to help monitor my newly purchased IQAir HealthPro +. This is an excellent pairing since the Airvisual Pro has both outside and inside air quality displays. It does display the AQI for a weather station located about four blocks from my house. This is important because I live in a hills and canyons city in the San Francisco Bay Area, so local weather varies considerably. The inside reading allows me to change the speed setting for the HealthPro + as necessary to ensure a healthy environment inside the house. What a wonderful combination.

Sensitive to the Air Quality.

Good product overall! Charger was fried however with the slightest of contact with water. This device is not suitable for outdoor use unless its super well sheltered. Does the job well. Functionality of the buttons is poor and could easily be a cheap touch screen for the price of the product. Overall, the Air Quality node is satisfactory.

Hi there,
Thanks for taking the time to review your AirVisual Pro.
You are correct, the AirVisual Pro is indeed suitable for outdoor use, but you must ensure that it’s housed in a shelter that protects it from rain, wind, and direct sunlight with natural airflow. For some suggestions and tips on safely housing your AirVisual Pro, please give us a call at (888) 560-1020, M-F, 8AM – 4:30PM PST.
To address your other point, the large LCD screen is beneficial for prominently displaying clear, easy-to-read AQI numbers and other relevant air quality data without having to access an app on a mobile device. The AirVisual Pro features a button interface to provide a simplified user experience while keeping its LCD screen clean and fingerprint-free.

This is a good air tester. It makes the reality of air quality issues apparent and urgent. For the price I wish it could read VOC content of the air.

Easy to use, big display, but no Zapopan

This monitor is very useful. I bought it to monitor air in my house in Zapopan México. I really like it s lot; easy to use, large read-out, lots of places, inside and outside. The only negative is that when I wanted to select Zapopan, where I am, I didn't ser that as a choices, only áreas inside Guadalajara.

Hi there,
Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us a review.
Like most air quality monitors, the AirVisual Pro relies on a network of public outdoor monitoring stations. While the AirVisual Pro network is the world’s largest network with the most monitoring stations, it is still subject to any issues local stations may have. To help contribute to our growing network of monitoring stations, you can submit a request for your AirVisual Pro to become a public outdoor monitoring station.
If you need help with this, please give us a call at (888) 560-1020, M-F, 8AM – 4:30PM PST.
This air monitor does work well. You can really notice co2 go up when we cook (and forget exhaust) or when we have bad air days reminds us to keep windows closed. I am thinking of installing it outside next and become an official air monitoring station for the neighborhood.
The IQ AirVisual Pro is a big step up from similar price range competitors. It is a professional product with clear and quantifiable data, while other products I have tried seem to be for residential use or just checking in to generally see if air quality is "good" or "bad" or somewhere in between. With the AirVisual Pro I am creating a report that documents how the health of new housing my office is constructing out-performs other homes in our area, including those we have built in the past, when certain steps are taken and materials excluded. The data upload process is a little tricky, but mostly it's tricky to translate the data once you are in excel. The other big bonus of this device is that I can set it up in rural places, houses under construction and other locations without wifi and it still collects weeks of data that I can upload later for analysis. I couldn't find another similar device with that ability.
This air monitor was great to have during the recent fires when the air was so bad. It also shows CO2 levels which are supposed to be an indication of whether air is stagnant which means viruses (like Covid) hang around longer. And it measures humidity which is good to know if you are in an area where mold is common.
Love the particle monitor for indoor and outdoor plus the C02 monitor! We even carried it around the house slowly to find the window/wall leaks for how smoke was getting into our house during wildfire season. Taped up the problem areas and now our indoor AQI is even better during the fires. So grateful
