The overall functionality of this bag is wonderful, but as a commuter mom who takes the bus, it's lacking. If this bag were to be turned into a backpack, it would be the best bag on the market! I had to DIY a cross body strap to the bag to help with carrying it on the commute to work. The shoulder straps are VERY slippery, so carrying it on your shoulder with a winter coat makes it bulky and awkward. The bags layout is great on the inside as I mentioned, but the overall functionality of a mom on the move, it sadly falls short.
Use it for work and on the weekends when I know I’ll need to pump. It is large enough to hold everything I need for pumping, keeping the milk cool, and my laptop. Love it!
The openings are smaller than the compartments so it’s difficult to get a computer or notebook into the front pocket. The internal pockets are too deep and you lose stuff in them when you have pump and bottles in the side compartments.
Let me start off by saying I wanted to like this bag so much. On paper it looked like it had everything I wanted, then it came and it was just one disappointment after another.
1. It is not as sturdy as it appears in the photos. It does not stand up on its own and will flop over into itself if you have your electronics in the front pocket and don't have a large pump. It pretty much requires spectra to remain upright.
2. While it appears to have a good amount of pockets for smaller items there is not a ton of additional storage space. This is especially true because the cooler compartment takes up so much room even if it is not in use.
3. The pump bag does have a grommeted hole to run a power cord through which ~almost~ lines up with the grommeted hole in one of the side pockets to hold the charger body when not in use. The problem is that anything you managed to get into the bag gets caught on the cord exposed between the 2 pockets.
4. The sliders to adjust the length on the straps are perfectly square which meant anytime I went to grab them to adjust the bag on my shoulders I got stabbed in the palm by a sharp corner.
5. The cooler compartment was a neat idea but if you have acess to a fridge during your work day it makes more sense to have a cooler bag you can put in the fridge instead of sacrificing that storage space in the bag body.
I wanted to like this bag so much but I ended up ultimately returning it.
Love the bag, only wish the center wasn't open around the side pockets for stuff to fall down and get lost. Honestly, maybe a bit bigger too! Otherwise, I love it!
