I am very pleased with the phone overall but I do tend to bump the PTT button by accident a lot. It is in a bad spot
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable
I would recommend this to a friend!

Iuse my mountain-bike to commute, so, hence my travels can be rugged and the Rugby 2 is most definately a c-phone that keeps up w/me. Plus the photo and camcorder capability is handy. I just wish the camcorder came w/ longer recording capabilities as I am out-and-about exploring a-lot and I like to show-off captures of camera-cam-corder footage that I have taken 2 my friends, having this Rugby c-fone helps out for the out-doorsy me, Frank jr.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, my girl likes it
I would recommend this to a friend!

Misplaced Buttons and unwanted pop-ups
on April 7, 2012

I like the look and feel. I don't like the placement of the PTT and SPEAKER button because they are activated just from the way I normally hold the phone. Also, the solicitation for PTT and Citi Wide are annoying. Consumers should be able to delete the pop-ups and remove the APPs from their phones, if they choose. Consumers should still have a choice as to whether they want to join the apps race.
Pros: Durable
Cons: poor button placement and annoying pop-ups
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love this phone....

This phone has held up for me like no other phone I have had. I like ever thing about it and it fits in my life with ease.
the Rugby 2 has a problem with sending text messages. when you go to send the message it will cancel the message and return to the messaging main menu. i personally have gone through 6 phones now in only about a month. I ENCOURAGE ALL OWNERS OF THE RUGBY 2 TO SEE IF YOUR PHONE HAS THIS PROBLEM TOO. (it doesn't happen all the time so send a couple messages it eventually will malfunction).
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I'm So Disappointed

This phone was the sole clamshell available for ATT at the time of my purchase. The transmission, receiving, and voice quality a pretty good. But that is surrounded by a difficult to use and unreliable piece of electronics. Where to begin? The menu system is very cumbersome e.g. the search menu for recent calls is not part of the main menu. The PTT feature is too easily activated, and cannot be deactivated ... really annoying! My phone stopped working ... died? ... after being shut off for low power (never dropped or jarred). Attempted recharging and battery exchange did not resuscitate my phone. These phones are massive, yet must be delicate as a dandelion seed-head. I need a reliable piece of equipment -- this is not it.
Pros: long battery life
Cons: Poor quality, Too big
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

First - The sound is TERRIBLE !!!
Next - SamSung probably went to a great deal of efforts at designing this phone. If you are left handed as I am you will want to throw it in the garbage can-instead, I sent to a phones for soldiers charity. This is the absolute worst phone I have ever tried. For a right handed person it may be perfectly fine if you can get over the audio problems
Pros: none will ever come to mind!
Cons: made for right handed people only.

Worst phone ever owned

If there was ever a phone that was the exact opposite of intuitive, it is this phone !!! This web site is in the same category. When looking for software or drivers, the web page just takes you in circles to "brag pages" of how "good" the phone is. Even the "model number" and SN in the back of the phone are not recognized when trying to register
Cons: Did not meet expectations, anti-intuitive, next to impossible to get drivers
