Strong Body, Weak Mind

I loved this phone when I first got it. It was rugged and I'm not exactly delicate. Now, I sort of tolerate it. I'm passed the anger of its locking up and not letting me add contacts. And it's inconvenient that the alarms no longer work. What really made me made was losing some photos that I'll never get back. But hey, it is phsyically durable. So, if the body matters more than the mind to you , go ahead and get one. Personally I'm looking for something else.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Only two problems both major

Rception is ok but not as good as my cheap nokia. You can not disable the PTT button and it is almost always pushed when you open the unit. I finally glued mine open with titebond II by using a toothpick to filet the glue. Now I don't have to worry about the PTT button. The other problem is the non standard interface connector. This unit is thick enough to have a regular stereo jack and standard mini usb connector but they have a special one. Other features seem out of place. Using a 1 inch screen for the internet seems to be a big waste of technology. I just use this as a phone and if it falls from the dash to my coffee cup I don't have to worry. So three stars. But it could be better
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color
Cons: ptt button & special mike jack
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My Rugby!

Finally, I was able to DOWNgrade my cell phone from a smart phone. I'm an older person who doesn't need all that smart stuff...Anyway, I went with the Rugby for the ruggedness of the design and I am very happy with this choice! I can hear calls BETTER than I ever could on my IPhone and once I get used to the simplicity of the operational features of this phone, I will update my review to 5 stars. The only problem I have experienced is because it is a flip phone, the opening 'flip' tends to hit the side buttons, but, I'm getting adjusted to that issue and getting it down pretty good...All around, a great phone and I'm pleased.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Lightweight, easy to use
I would recommend this to a friend!

I've had it for a few months now, and other than the major annoyance of the PTT always getting hit when I open it, it's a darn good phone. I like the camera - simple and with decent light, it takes good pictures. And I've already dropped it a couple of times and it came through with no problems. Other than a bit bulky, it's ideal for me.
Got this for my son who tends to be rough on things. This phone appears to be very solid and well built and rugged. Nice big buttons for big fingers. Display is easy to read. My only disappointment is that I can't find a way to disable internet access. We got the phone so he can text and stay in touch with a basic phone. We have no data plan and don't want "accidental" internet usage charges. For a basic phone the 2 Mp camera is very good.
Pros: Durable
Cons: can't disable internet
I would recommend this to a friend!
