Nice fitness wearable, first time Garmin User

I purchased this watch because I wanted something that would pair heart rate with the Edge 820. I like wearing it when I downhill ski as it does not track the chair lift rides as skiing. I'm getting some information about how terrible my sleep is, which has been useful in making some changes. I use it for strength training as well. Sadly, I'm not a runner, (bad knees) so this seemed like a good fit over the Forerunner. I like the data this provides and I have been more aware of my activities. Also, looks nice and the watch surface so far has been scratch resistant.

I have had it for a few weeks now, I love the look, the battery life, and features. I am still trying to figure out the text messages on the watch though.

I went from a Vivo 4 to the Venu 3S because I wanted a longer battery life. However, this is not the case. Even with most of the apps turned off, I still need to charge it every 3-4 days. Not happy.

I have had a Fitbit for nearly 20 years and the product has gone so much so I decided to try Garmin Venu 3S for about a month now. No issues so far and I am still learning all the features. I do wish there were Disney watch faces that didn’t cost additional $.

I bought this a month ago mainly for the ECG App to track my heart rhythm but I’m truly amazed at all of the great features it has.

I’ve had this watch for a month now and it’s safe to say I love it. I switched from an Apple Watch to this so it took some getting used to but overall, would never turn back. The interface is beautiful, works smoothly and I love how customizable the watch faces are. I only wish they had more “fancy” looking watch band options!

I bought my Garmin Venu 3s to replace a Fitbit that I had become frustrated with. There are things I like and things that I don’t like because they don’t make sense or are not useful to me.
The watch synchs flawlessly (so far) with the app—that’s great.
There’s lots of good information to dig into and use for fitness/heath improvement.
The bad:
Sleep scores do not take individual sleep needs into account. I have never slept more than 7 hours in my entire life, but Garmin arbitrarily decided I need 8 hours 40 minutes sleep and consistently downgrades my sleep score and tells me I slept poorly, despite excellent ratings for deep, light and REM sleep, along with waking up feeling refreshed and energetic after 6.5-7 hours. I practice good sleep hygiene and already engage in all the recommendations to “improve” my sleep quality. On fitbit with similar metrics, I consistently earned scores in the high 80s and low 90s. My Venu scores are in the mid 60s to low 70s with ratings of poor or fair.
Despite claiming to track multiple types of exercise, tracking for yoga, strength training or barre classes is useless, because you have to hit start and stop after each pose, set or exercise and enter what you did, which disrupts the flow of your workout. It is only useful for tracking cardio.
It is unclear what metrics it uses to determine your “stress” level, as it indicates high stress at times when I am calm, peaceful and relaxed.
I have not decided if it is a good fit for me. Overall the Fitbit charge model seems like the better product.
