I love not having to charge daily like I did with my apple watch, but I miss being able to reply to my text messages from my watch. Hoping they come out with a model in the future that is cell enabled and allows messaging and phonecalls without having to carry my phone when out for a run or a hike.

I purchased this Venu 3S as an upgrade for my 2+ year old Venu Sq. It is amazing how much better the Venu 3 performs! GPS picks right up, no waiting around. Accuracy is good based on my usual route. So many new features that I haven't gotten to them all yet. Best new feature for me so far is the sleep score. Watch is sleek and comfortable. AMOLED screen is beautiful and easy to see even in bright sunlight. I'm thrilled with this purchase and would definitely recommend this watch, although the 3S might be a little small for a man's wrist. Fits me perfectly though.

Healthcare professional needs second hand

Garmin claims to have an always on display but does not keep the entire clock face, the second hand on. This is very important in my work. The second hand worked on my old garmin watch. I cannot use this watch for everyday use without a second hand. For me the other features were a bonus but now they don't matter at all if I'm not wearing the watch.

Great functionality, comfortable, supports a high variety of activities. The user interface is more aesthetically interesting and slightly more intuitive than previous versions. Love having that middle button with access to the voice assistant.

Few minor concerns but overall a great watch

I am enjoying the ease of use. I like all the features for tracking my overall health. I used it on a 16 mile day hike a couple weeks ago, and the GPS tracking was great as well as the tracking of all the health data points. I wish it would detect possible heartbeat arrhythmias in the background rather than having to open the ECG app to check. There doesn't seem to be a way to turn off the Wifi without going completely into power saver mode, which turns off a lot of other features I regularly use. I have had problems where it won't accurately track my heart rate when I'm on my indoor bike trainer. Other than these issues I am pleased with it and would get another Garmin watch again.

Garmin VENU 3S Review
My 3 year old Polar M 430 gave up the ghost. I have used Polar for many years and I think they should last a little longer (planned obsolescence?). I liked the features of the VENU S3 and I purchased one early in 2025. The instructions for using some of the features, including the Garmin online user manual and most of the youtube videos are absolutely horrible. I hung in and got most of the features that I needed functioning, I need more time to understand some other features I might like.
I also recently purchased the Index S2 Smart Scale. I read some really bad reviews about the S2 and hoped I would get one of the “good” ones. I had been using a 30 something year old Tinita digital scale which has been and is still my reliable backup which of course does not connect to a router . I weighed a dumbbell on both scales and got the same weight, I was pleased. The next morning I got on the s2 and gained 5 pounds, I brought out the trusty old Tinita and lost that 5 pounds I gained so quickly. I now weigh first on my trusty Tinita and then weigh on the S2 several times until I get a matching weight. I delete the erroneous data so that I get the metrics the Tinita does not provide. I am ashamed that Garmin still sells such a faulty product as the S2 Scale at such a high price.

As someone who was a Fitbit girly for a decade, I was so nervous to make the switch to a Garmin. After a year of research, I opted to get the Venus 3s and after having it for just 4 weeks, I am upset I didn’t switch sooner! The aesthetic of the watch is classy, it has a long last battery, and is far more accurate in its measurements than other smart watch.
