I have not yet used the voice assistant feature, which was partly one of the selling points for me on this one. But that's partly my fault, cause I never really used the voice assistant on my phone anyway?
I think this item is really great for someone new to Garmin that isn't doing any spectacularly outdoor activities requiring maps. I have the Fenix for when I am doing multiday hikes or multi sport activities. It does not let me pause and resume a bike ride like the Fenix can. I do like this for daily wear though since it is lightweight and pretty. I love the new meditation feature and the music and birds it plays while I do that stuff. (My previous watch was a Fenix 5S. I do not use many of those capabilities day to day, but it has gotten me out of the mountains i was lost in a couple times. :D)

Made the switch from an Apple Watch to garmin, and I'll never look back. My only complaint is the Bluetooth range is pretty poor. I can be in my house upstairs and my home downstairs and the watch will notify me that is no longer connected to my phone. That is my only complaint. Easy to use. Great design. So many stats to track; sleep, workouts, recovery. Very long lasting battery life.

Bought for exercise, but obsessed with sleep tracking

I bought this watch to replace my Garmin Forerunner, and expected to just use it for exercise. I have never worn a daily tracker in my life, and have always disliked the look and the idea of constant distractions and notifications. However, I am now obsessed with the sleep tracking and insights so much that I basically wear this watch 24/7! The Sleep Score in the Venu has helped me to better target my sleep and wake times, helping me to get more restorative sleep. In the morning, I review my overnight trends like sleep duration and quality. Honestly, I feel like the gentle nudge from the watch to exercise and improve my sleep quality gets me into my running shoes more frequently. The other components - like weather, ECG, pulse ox, and exercise tracking - are great. The watch itself is relatively low profile and fits into my daily wardrobe - so I don't feel awkward wearing a "sport watch" all day, nor do I feel like it's completly obvious I'm wearing a tracking watch. It's easy to turn off notifications from my phone and keep them off, so I'm never bothered by fragmented attention getters. But if notifications are your thing, then they show up on the screen if you opt-in. Would definitely recommend this watch for anyone looking for a fully functional sport and health tracker watch that can blend into your wardrobe.

Great Functionality

I wanted a watch that was fitness oriented, but had smartwatch capabilities and after a lot of research all signs pointed to the Venu. I got it and am totally in love. Everything works seamless with my iphone. The battery life is phenomenal. I track multiple workouts every week and use it nonstop and charge it once a week. And charging takes about 1hr 15min from empty battery. Perception is relative so I love having quantitative data to keep me in line, I feel it tracks workouts accurately, and the body battery/sleep coach/recovery hours features has really helped me maximize my fitness & energy levels. 10/10 recommend.

Perfect for everyday wear + running + hiking. Battery lasts long enough for 3-day backpacking trips while GPS tracking is constantly on. With normal use the battery generally lasts over a week.

Got this for my wife who ran track and cross-country for BYU. She wanted something with better fitness features than the Apple Watch would offer, but still classy looking to wear to church,business meetings, etc. She loves the Venu for her runs. Very accurate pace and mileage features. She also loves the sleep reports. Highly recommend.

Good functionality! My only complaint so far is that the voice clarity when calling through the device has decreased since swimming while wearing it.
