Good all around watch

Replaced my Apple Watch. I’m still familiarizing myself with the system, but so far I like it. It’s got better data for exercises outside so I prefer that to Apple. I haven’t quite figured out how to get a clock face that has the data I need, but it’s close. Great sleep data. Hard to see overall summary unless you’ve got it saved somewhere and I also had to figure out how to change the face to have watch battery. So, to summarize: I prefer the garmin for exercise data and summary. The apple was easier to customize the watch face to give you data you want quick access to.

Love this watch!

Did not think I would like this as I am old school with a regular wristwatch. This has changed my thoughts. This has motivated me to get off my butt and get moving. I cannot stand to ride a stationary bike at the gym, but this watch connects to the sensor on my road bike and I enjoy the results. Like the morning report on my sleep, or lack thereof. Perfect size to as I do not like big bulky watches.

Love it!

I was an Apple Watch loyalist for many years, but after having to replace it every 2 years due to battery life (after 2 years it barely made it through a marathon even on a full charge), I started looking elsewhere. I am so happy to have made the switch! The battery easily lasts 6 days even with constant use, takes very little time to charge, and still functions as a smartwatch. The only thing I miss about my Apple Watch was having maps on it to help when doing driving directions, but maybe I haven't figured out how to do that on this watch yet.
I also personally think it looks nicer than the Apple Watch and the band that comes with it is much more comfortable. If you're considering making the switch, do it. You won't be disappointed!

Huge step up from Fitbit

5 stars would have been my review if it weren't for two things.
1. I really wish there are more color options for the s model. Like solid black.
2. My previous fitbit had the talk to txt option with out my phone being near me. With the price point of garmin being so much higher, and the over all technology being so much more advanced, I would think Garmin had more to offer then voice command.
Voice command can not hear a single thing I say without my phone being close to me. I cant respond to a incoming txt other than T9 or pre selected one word responses.

The pros definitely out weigh the cons for sure or else I would have returned it.
Pros are to long to list!! This watch is a awesome device and I love it. Love that I can sync it to my peleton for heart rate. Love that it tells me an in detail chart of my sleep, plus a sleep coach to help me get better sleep.

Also the love the accuracy of the step count. With my fitbit I could literally sit in bed and wave my arms and get steps, NOT with garmin! This watch is beyind accurate!

Slick and functional

So far, I’m enjoying my Garmin Venu. I just got it, so hopefully it’ll meet my expectations, but it looks slick and has a great app where the data is uploaded, which makes it very easy to track activity & patterns to identify habits that need to be modified for a healthy lifestyle. Hoping the battery life is decent since that’s the main reason I switched from my Apple watch…

Screen scratches very easily, good features

Brand new Venu 3S, wore for a week doing routine things- screen has scratched in multiple areas, one fairly deep. I tried to find screen protectors on the Garmin website- no dice. Apparently they are not recommended. Trying to find some way to protect the screen from everyday use. I love the features but have to remove the watch to do anything, which defeats the purpose of tracking activities. I'd give durability a 1 star and features 4-5 stars.

Amazing watch!

I got this watch to replace my Apple Watch. My battery life was terrible and my workout calories were never consistent. I’ve had the garmin for about 3 weeks and I’ve only charged it twice since I had it. It tracks my sleep and the color on it is amazing. It looks way more elegant than the Apple Watch too! The Apple Watch reminds me of what you get in a kids meal at McDonald’s. This watch is a must have if you want a smart watch that is more confused on work outs.

Experienced Garmin user-new watch disappoints

I bought this watch to replace a Venu 2s that I had owned for two years (after owning many other vivo watches before.) This watch seems defective. Sleep monitoring has consistently (for a month) shut off before I actually wake up and not even triggered by a trip to the bathroom. Additionally, Garmin Pay is not working despite it working with the previous watch. There are some new features that seem intriguing; however, distracted by these daily nuisances that don't seem to work.
