I have worn and used my Venu 3 since it launch date. It has performed as well as I expected and is the ideal watch to wear when my epix pro is not the right watch for the occasion.
This is my first smartwatch. I bought it for battery life and the GPS accuracy Garmin is known for. The main issues I have are with the voice assistant feature not working, or not very well most of the time. not entirely sure if that was a Garmin issue or a google issue (android pixel 6a) but it was pretty disappointing to have it not work, that was a feature that helped make the decision. Plenty of other users with the same issue, so it wasn't just my watch. Battery life has been great...until now. about a week ago, battery life started draining very quickly, and I can't figure out why. I had not changed any settings, so it must be an update Garmin pushed to the watch. Up until recently, i would get about 10% loss per day, maybe 15% if I tracked an activity (about 1 hr/day). Now I'm losing about 20%/day, and only tracking an activity for 30 minutes. Heck, it's dropped 1% while I wrote this paragraph. don't really want to try and go through a reset, and have to set it all up again...
Bottom line - I'd avoid buying this watch for now. Maybe another couple software updates will do the trick...? Wait for new updates, and then buy it discounted when the Venu 4 comes out...then it'll probably be worth the price.
I've had my Venu 3 approximately three weeks and so far, I'm very satisfied with the overall functionality. I know there are ways to extend the battery life but thought it would run longer between charges.
I’ve had this watch for a month now and it’s worked out great. Measures and keeps me on track for exercise goals. Watching heart rate and O2 levels too! Sleep monitoring has been helpful. I even use the golf app for GPS on my local course
I researched smart watches for a few weeks and decided to first try the apple watch. Used it for 2 weeks and returned it to get thie Garmin Venu 3. Garmin is better hands down. Better displays, still very easy to use, tracks more, and the battery life is 5x better than the apple watch.
