We bought one that seemed to be defective, so it was returned. I just used to the clean mode to wash the blender for the first time and all seems to be well.

Good blender, maybe faulty part

Absolutely love this blender, it’s such an upgrade from my last one — however even following the instructions, I find that the top middle piece leaks out when blending.
