It can be cleaned !!!

Besides working well and holding 1.2L, the infuser and entire top are removable so the inside can be cleaned properly. Most similar kettles do not have totally removable tops.

Wish I could make just one cup of tea but it requires at least 2 and the filter does not reach the water line.
