wire beaters failed with first use

I bought this a week ago and now I find that expectations of quality and durability were too high. The mixer itself is fine but the beaters / mixer things failed on the first use. 1. you must insert the beaters correctly in the right insertion points - done but the wires hit each other. I checked the insertion and noticed the wires were slightly bent. I expected the wires to be welded someway at the bottom to keep their shape, place and not hit each other. I have a large KitchenAid stand mixer and expecting the same no problems use.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
