I have a Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon, which would have fit into a smaller case, but I'm happy with the extra room and it still easily fits in a briefcase. The side pockets comfortably accommodate the power block and a mouse. I was surprised that the handle orients the case vertically rather than horizontally, but this works out perfectly well.
