Overall a great & stylish laptop, but I have some minor nitpicks

I love how this laptop looks and feels! And the fan is very quiet/optimized, especially for lower end tasks. I have witnessed many gaming laptops in the past that just go full airplane engine when opening Chrome or something. Another thing I love about this laptop is the fact that the important ports are in the back. It really helps with cable management on a bed, where I use this laptop the most, because I don't have to face a certain direction for it to charge and be comfortable to use. However, the ports themselves felt a little misaligned??? They weren't broken, but I certainly had to wiggle my USBs to get them in and out. The charging cable also hangs fairly loose in the back port and sometimes falls out if I move a little. The battery life is just about what you'd expect from a gaming laptop: not great, but again, that's just something you have to accept if you're looking for a gaming laptop. The charging brick it comes with is also massive, making it a little hard to transport, but again, a small price to pay to have a laptop that can smoothly run bg3.
Visible hardware aside, the specs of this thing are great. Everything I use runs very well on Windows. I would not recommend this laptop if you plan on changing your OS though, as it is definitely built for Windows. I tried using Linux on this laptop when I first got it and had some trouble with graphics because of the Nvidia card. I also had trouble changing the keyboard backlight color, because the only program available to change it is tied to the Microsoft store (and I am not well-versed enough to build hardware compatibility in OpenRGB). I never open Omen Gaming Hub. When I do it's almost always messy or laggy, even on an almost empty drive. I'm not that picky when it comes to gameplay specs and the computer's background processes already do their job well to make everything smooth, so to have the built-in keyboard tied to this app that is otherwise useless to me felt unneeded.
Another very small issue I have is the screen. The colors seem very muted overall. That's about it with my complaints though.
I got this for my son as he is addicted to World of Warcraft. His previous laptop was not really a gaming computer. He said this is the difference between night and day, and he is extremely happy with it.
Haven't had too much time to put it through its full paces, but so far it is an above average laptop for a fantastic price. I'll end up upgrading the storage and memory, but other than that I'm very satisfied with it.
I love my laptop. I am an animator so this was perfect for me. I am using it for 3D in Maya and designing in unreal engine. I wanted a laptop that could do what my desktop OMEN can do on the go. It is good qualtity. The design of the laptop feel vintage. I did alot of research before making this decision. The Graphic card was important, the memory, I am an Intel® Core™ i7 girl and the storage. I basically made a list of all the programs I will be using on the laptop and made my decsion. The programs are all adobe product like photoshop, illustrator, 3D substance, indesign, 3D in maya, and unreal engine. I do also have a hard drive as well for saving my projects. Overall this was a perfect laptop for me in this season, as a designer.
I was originally looking to find a decent entry laptop for some light gaming and school work for my price range. I ended up coming across this laptop on sale and with my upgrades (which I'll mention later) ended up being around the same price as the entry level laptops I was looking at. So, to say I ended up getting way more than I expected is a good understatement.
I chose to stick with the Intel Ultra 5 225H and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 (8GB). I also kept the 16 GB RAM and 512 GB Storage, as I found the upgrades to be more than I was happy with. However, I did upgrade the display to the 165 Hz, 400nit, 100% sRGB as I found that to be definitely worth the upgrade; the screen seems so vibrant and bright. I also went with the 4-zone RGB backlit keyboard, I really think it's worth it, especially for the price; there's a lot of customization with it in the OMEN Light Studio program.
I've had this laptop for almost a month now, and I honestly can't say much bad about it. I've played a variety of games already, but I haven't done any big AAA games. I do think it wouldn't be worth it to play those on medium settings, unless you upgrade to the better CPU & GPU. However this laptop still performs wonderfully with smaller titles. I can usually run more demanding games quite well on High settings at 60-120 fps and the GPU temperature usually stays between 64°C-70°C.
Now, there are some cons, but I honestly think it mostly comes down to software. I feel this is important to include in a review about this product because you have to utilize the OMEN programs to get the full experience out of the OMEN laptop. The OMEN Gaming Hub program can be kind of a pain, and honestly I don't use it, but you do need it to switch between performance modes. I notice that sometimes my performance mode isn't highlighted/bolded correctly even though the border shows it's selected. There's been a lot of times this has happened and I have to make sure the right mode is selected.
The other software issue I've come across with OMEN is I sometimes have to open up the Lighting Studio program because my keyboard isn't showing any light/colors and that fixes it.
The only thing left to say is that my laptop did come with a small physical imperfection, but it's honestly barely noticeable, especially since it's in the back but I am slightly bothered by that.
TL;DR
It's a great laptop for the price that delivers a satisfying experience in hardware, although the OMEN software programs can diminish it some, but overall I genuinely think it's worth it for a quality mid-range gaming laptop.
