Bit disappointed

I have the Dyson stick and this one I thought would be a better vacuum for pet hairs with the design of the roto head. For that it does seem better but the rollers on the rotohead get clogged with hair!! Also don't like the lack of thought into storing the unit while charging or when not in use. They Dyson has a nice wall mount which is much nicer than leaning a vacuum on something to charge it.

Great for a few months

I bought this a few months ago after trying and rejecting several other cordless vacuums. This one seemed to have everything I wanted. Great maneuverability, nice long battery life, just the right attachments, pretty fast charge time, great tangle free brush... it really seemed perfect. But a few months in, I’m very disappointed. It barely picks up anything anymore. I’ve emptied and cleaned and cleared everything I can get to but the suction just isn’t there. And without that, the other great qualities don’t really matter. Disappointed. Guess I’ll use a broom while I save up for a better vacuum.

Unhappy

Not happy with this vacuum. The see thru parts get very dirty and are impossible to clean. The button to empty the bin only works if the wand is removed which is just poor design in my opinion. I feel like I have to constantly use the "Boost" feature to actually pick anything up. I also found out the 5 year warranty also does not work as described - if a single part fails (like the motorized floor brush) then it is not covered. Customer service says the "ENTIRE UNIT" needs to break at the same time for it to be covered.

First Disappointment from Shark

I have had two other shark vacuums and this is the first one that is truly disappointing. You would think for the price it would actually suck up pet hair not push it around. Leaves piles of hair on area rug when going back and forth.I have used it for two weeks and I wish I could get a refund/replacement.

Excellent on floors, not as good handheld

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really needed a vacuum that was easier to cart around my house than my older model that still uses a bag. This is an extremely lightweight, easy to use and I love using it to vacuum my floors. The biggest attachment is amazing, it somehow doesn't get any hair tangled in it at all, which is in itself a miracle. I also like that there are separate levels for wood, carpet and an extra strong trigger as well. The battery isn't amazing, about half an hour at most but for my purposes that's enough, I don't ever really want to be vacuuming longer than that anyway. It's also really simple to empty, just slide a latch over the trashcan and you're good to go.
The floor attachment picked up everything as far as I could tell. It's the smaller, handheld attachments that I'm not crazy about. It was much closer to a mediocre handheld vacuum when I tried to used it to vacuum my couch, I had to go over spots several times to get visible dirt or dust off and it didn't give the same clean impression that it does on laminate and carpet like the floor attachment does.

Solid performer on hard floors

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cordless model from Shark is a direct competitor to Dyson and has some solid features for the price. It has equal run time and is lightweight, gets under lower furniture than the Dyson and costs less. It's best feature is the roller which claims to not get hair wrapped around it and does seem to work much better than the Dyson in that respect. That being said the down sides are that it has no wall mount and has to be leaned against something to stand up, and does not perform nearly as well on rugs as the Dyson. I have a very short pile rug as a door mat that this left considerable dirt and pet hair on and then my Dyson removed every trace. If you have hard floors and don't mind the lack of wall mount and top heaviness this is a good buy and a good vacuum. If you have a lot of rugs or carpet I'd spring for the Dyson.

Nice Vacuum but it does get hair wrapped!

I bought this 3 days ago and I love it butI knew the no hair wrap was too good to be true. I have had to clean the hair out twice since I’ve used it. So false advertisement on that, but besides that I like it so far. Very lightweight and sucks up very well.

Good Vacuum

I bought this a little over a year ago and really like it. It does very well on floors and good on carpets. After searching and searching for one, I am very disappointed that there is no wall mount. It does not stand on its own and so has to be 'carefully' leaned against a wall or it will tip over. Seems like such an easy fix to simply make a wall mount! That is the only reason I gave it 3 stars....but that becomes an issue when trying to find the right spot to store it AND charge it.
