The mixer is sturdy but the head does shake vigorously from the body when the speed is only on 4-5. Very hard to scrape the bowl mid way when head is tiled and the beater is sticking right in my face. Probably that's why the flex edge beater isn't included so everyone has to spend extra to buy one.

Creamed butter and sugar today. It didn’t go well. I tried adjusting the beater per the instructions but it didn’t make any difference. Perhaps the flex edge beater might work better. I will have to purchase it.

Having just "downsized" the Mini stand mixer is ideal, it is very quiet in operation and still gives the same results as a larger stand mixer albeit with smaller quantities. Another great KitchenAid product.

Great size mixer to complement my other mixers. Need one that was small enough to do nearly 80% of my mixing needs. the other two I have are for the larger cakes and pasta doughs that I do less often. This is really convenient and very powerful. Happy to say it disturbs the family less than the other two I have, when I'm trying to bake and they're trying to watch TV.

I shopped around for months reading all the reviews for all the stand mixers. This was my dream mixer but I couldn’t justify the price. I am so so happy I took everyone’s advice and purchased my very own Kitchenaid mixer.. so quiet and smooth to operate and cleaning it is a breeze. The biggest plus for me was that I could fit it in my kitchen cupboard. Money very well spent. We will be making cakes together well into my retirement.
