My biggest fear of a sensor pump was that if you got too close it would dispense soap and a lot would be wasted. That doesn’t happen with this pump. It’s not too sensitive but when you need soap it’s there
I got dishwasher pump first and it worked well, since I like the design so much so I ordered another liquid soap pump. However this one has a battery problem that I almost had to charge every week, I have only charged the dishwasher pump once but for this liquid hand soap pump, I have charged numerous times! So I wonder its battery may have been bad!
I find it difficult to place hand correctly to get the smallest amount of soap. This is a waste of soap and will cost a lot of money in soap refills. I prefer the older models where you could adjust the amount of soap you like/need. I do love the recharge! Savings on batteries.
I’m not all that impressed with this product. It leaks & is very sensor sensitive. I find I have to fill up more often & not easy to refill. I also don’t like the way the amount of soap if dispensed. Doesn’t seem to be much difference in the adjustment. I have bought other Simplehuman soap dispensers that were less expensive that I liked much better & lasted a long time. For the price that I paid it does not meet my expectations!
Even with your hand near the top of the dispenser spout, a large amount of soap comes out. This would use up the soap faster than the previous version.
I wish it had a clear space on the unit to show where the soap level is like previous versions.
That said, the dispenser is very sleek and modern. There is no delay in dispensing the soap. My older model got clogged up and even after taking it apart and cleaning it, it still would not dispense correctly.
I like the idea of no batteries and am hoping that the 3 month charge claim is correct. :)
