This is the 4th Simplehuman soap dispenser that we have purchased and they have continued to make improvements over the years. The built in funnel makes filling easy and the charging is more convenient than "insert plug" options. I also like the ability to dispense more or less soap depending on where you hold your hand. This is an big improvement over the static amount settings.

I love the rechargeable feature versus batteries. I love the brass color, although I do wish it was more "polished" brass so it would match my faucets batter.

Very nice dispenser

I have only one negative comment about this soap dispenser (everything else about it is perfect)—it sometimes triggers on by itself. I was in the kitchen draining a pot of spaghetti into the sink and the steam triggered the dispenser. The sensor is a little too sensitive. Other than that it’s a nice dispenser.

Too sensitive

I liked the idea of this but it fails in execution. It’s extremely sensitive and spews soap everywhere if your hand happens to get to close to it. You have to use a clear soap because of this so when it gets everywhere, you don’t have globs of colored liquid all over the place. Even with the clear soap, the soap is still everywhere, but at least it’s somewhat harder to see. I ended up having to turn it around so it doesn’t accidentally constantly spew soap when I am at the sink, defeating the entire purpose, which was to make hand washing contactless. We now jackknife our hands around the dispenser to try to get soap without turning it around. I’ve actually heard that simple human’s customer service is terrible, but I will try to return it anyway. It fails it’s essential purpose.
