We really liked the idea of these. Unfortunately, they just don't last long as they should for the price. We had three or four of them, none of them lasted a year before starting to have issues. Three starts for how they worked when new.

It’s too sensitive and pumps

It’s too sensitive and pumps out soap when there are no hands present and makes a mess. It damaged my counter.

When I come to the sink with dirty hands and I can get soap to dispense without touching anything, it’s a game changer. My sink is also motion activated to turn on so I get my hands wet, apply soap without getting soap dispenser dirty.
The battery last so long long enough that I almost forgot where I was storing the charging cord.
I do wish the cable was a standard mini usb so I didn’t have to worry about losing it. This charging cable is specific to this device so don’t lose it.

small issues

when moving it sometimes dispenses soap. sometimes soap clogs and goes into different directions, besides your hand. Wish it came in a larger size to hold more soap since I am cooking a lot more and need hands clean.

This is our second Simplehuman Liquid Soap Sensor Pump. The first one died after a number of years and I bought a less expensive brand. That was a mistake ... it didn't work right and didn't last at all. Now I have a rechargeable Simplehuman pump and it's great! It's reliable and the color blends with my kitchen. You've made a loyal customer out of me.
