Great EXCEPT a major design flaw

The pump lives up to the promotional materials, but it doesn’t work for our pedestal sinks and can be difficult on cabinet sinks, because the sensor is not calibrated well. This poorly designed calibration Results in soap squirting when anything—your hand, a faucet handle, the edge of a towel you’re using, ANYTHING—is beneath the pump spout. It even squirts soap onto the sink or cabinet if you’re toweling off soap that previously squirted onto the sink or cabinet. You have to learn how to pick up the pump to avoid its squirting soap when you want to move the pump for cleaning. The pump needs to be calibrated so that it squirts soap only if your hand is one inch from the nozzle. That would mean you only have one choice in the amount of soap you get, but that would be far better than the nuisance caused by the current design. Please do a recall and fix this wasteful, annoying flaw.
I absolutely love this soap dispenser! During Covid times, everyone should have at least 1 if not all sinks in their home with this soap dispenser. I SO love not having to touch anything. I just put my hand under and out comes the soap. The charge last a long time!
I like this and especially like the “dual” amount option for dispensing less or more soap. My only “complaint” is when there is steam in the sink, the sensor randomly dispenses soap. It doesn’t happen often so this isn’t a show-stopper; just something to keep in mind.
I am a nurse and have always been a fan of touchless hand washing products. The simplehuman soap pump is fabulous, it works perfectly and is pleasing to the eye. Wonderful product—would definitely recommend!!
I like the idea of different levels of soap amounts. Rarely drips. The only 2 reasons I did not give this a five star: there is no window to indicate liquid level and it did not have a standard electrical plug for recharging. I had to purchase an adaptor for USB to plug in tip to recharge it.
