I really wanted to love this grill. Very excited to get it and use it. I expected cooking instructions that told you what to select. Bake, broil, smoke, etc. NOPE. Just says set to the setting you want. I don't know which one to use. I first smoked a whole chicken. I may have done it wrong. It came out overcooked with the skin being hard tree bark like (uneatable) and smoke flavor very little. (the unit was smoking a lot) I tried a second time based on CJ youtube cook show. I lowered the temperature and it was less bark like skin, but no where near good. I decided to try hamburgers. To me, I might as well have cooked it in a skillet on the stove. Outside was burn't with inside red even though it showed to be done. I'm glad I didn't bother to try a steak as my ribeye's are more costly. It may be a great product (It's sure a great idea) but I think it needs more refinement. I think the grill itself is really good quality. Good luck.

Bark is formed when you caress perfectly seasoned meat with smoke, water vapor, and just the right amount of heat for hours on end until you are left with mouthwatering meat. When it comes to giving my husband a surprise holiday gift, I knew exactly what to get him. The Ninja grill is phenomenal and is one of the best grills my husband has ever used. He has been waiting a long time to replace his old but durable grill and finally the day has come. I usually love to cook inside at home and bake and he loves to grill. Which is why I got him this incredible 7 in 1 Ninja woodfire outdoor grill with a built in thermometer. He is able to grill fresh seafood, steak, and variety of meat. As well as roast some veggies, it has a smoker feature which leaves protein and vegetables tasting so good, finger licking good! The air fryer is great for potatoes, creating fish sticks, and chicken nuggets. I am able to buy a variety of chips for the smoker for him to use and it doesn't take much. Ninja sounds the same as the one I have for indoor(I do wish it sounded different to make it more unique). It has the automatic preheating feature and easy to move knob for which setting to use. Super easy to clean up, simply take out the grate and wash it. This grill has got it all and it's super easy and convenient to use. No propane gas needed, no charcoal, only an electrical outlet nearby and all set. First for all the pros: The Ninja outdoor grill is fully electric, it has a built in thermometer for perfect cooking any meat (pork, chicken, fish, beef) and can be set easily using the presets on the LED display. It has quite a few modes ranging from grill to smoke, to dehydrate, to roast just to name a few. It comes with a large grill plate that is easy to install and heats up rather quickly. The plate is easily removed for clean up and washing. It's non stick and worked perfectly for me on multiple occasions grilling shrimp, fish, and chicken. It came with additional accessories such as a roaster that easily sits on the grill plate and doesn't slide due to notches in the plate. It has a drip pan which is easy to remove and clean especially if you put aluminum foil on it. The settings can easily be adjusted from temperature to time and started and stopped with the click of a button. It has a built in fan for circulation of the grill smoke and helps heat and cook the food faster. Very efficient and perfect every time. I also got a smaller roaster dish in case you need to split the grill for veggies and protein and cook both simultaneously. Perfect time saver in this regard. Now the best part which I'm absolutely in love with is the smoker feature. Talk about easy, open the side pellet holder, drop the pellets using the provided cup making sure it's full, press the smoke button and voila, the smoker adds a unique flavor to it quickly and efficiently. No more waiting for hours like my husband used to do to smoke fish or beef. Grill and smoke at the same time and the flavor is amazing. Juicy meats cooked to perfection. I also got a separate stand for the grill with wheels and it's perfect. It holds the grill well and doesn't let it slide around due to the perfect notches on the table. It has wheels for easy portability. Highly recommended to make the grilling experience convenient and easy. I also got a grill cover which is weather resistant and provides good protection for the unit. It's ready to go straight from the box with very minimal installation compared to other grills. For the cons: The crispers and grill plate are not dishwasher safe so that's a bummer but not the end of the world for me. I wish the grill was bigger to fit more meat and veggies at the same time especially for larger parties. Area of improvement would be for the cart to have an enclosed storage for utensils etc. And possibly a side table to help with holding plates and utensils. Need to use silicone tools to not scratch the grill surface. I also wish there was a thermometer gauge built on top to show temperature similar to traditional grills. Overall an excellent product that should last a long time and is durable enough for a few years to come. My husband is very impressed at how it cooks as he had many doubts about electric grills but the meat turned out perfect every time and with ease. Almost too perfect. Last but not least, even I can now easily grill and it's no more just a men's domain.

Love the grill but was missing the pellets and I called them and they would not send them. I even ordered 2 extra bags. Since I did not get the pellets we have not been able to smoke anything.

We seen a commercial and both my husband and I were interested. After reading reviews we decided to order the one with thermometer. It came in less then a week. We made chicken breasts the first night. Our 9 yr old grandson actually ate the chicken when he seen how it turned out, after refusing to eat it for 4 yrs. This alone made it worth every penny. We have made Wings, Steak, French fries, Inion rings. Chicken breasts,hot dogs and Kielbasa in the week and half of owning it. All has turned out perfect. I was not sure if paying more for built in thermometer would be worth it, however it was! No guess work and love that it shows on screen at what stage it is on for rare, medium and etc so we can take off as each person likes.

This grill allows me to get the flavors of outdoor grilling, but with the convenience of an electric grill. The meats we have grilled with the Woodfire Technology are delicious, and have a nice charred outside, but are tender and juicy inside.

I bought the woodfire outdoor grill a few weeks ago and it's such a nice machine, however it's much smaller than it says. We were excited about grilling 6 steaks at once and 3 pounds of wings. We were able to get 3 steaks (at the very max) and about 18-20 small chicken wings. Not a deal breaker, but I had both my woodfire grill and my foodi going to make up for lost time.
