A gift within a gift within a gift!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What a great idea! Getting a Barbie is exciting but it's more exciting when it comes with extra surprises! This is 10 surprises in one with 5 boxes to open, each hiding a surprise or two! My child loved opening each box to find a goodie. This was incredibly exciting! In the end, she unboxxed a Barbie with color changing hair, a new dress and shoes for Barbie, a little puppy friend with outfit, a cake with decorations, a pedestal for the cake, presents, and dough mix for more cake decor! My daughter absolutely loved this and opening it was a blast. This Barbie set is perfect for play at home and includes everything you need to help Barbie celebrate her pet's birthday! The small pieces can be stored in the gift boxes when not in use. My only complaint would be with the dough. It was very sticky and hard to get out of the mold.

Unboxing Fun with Barbie

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Barbie party unboxed doll is a great doll. She come with beautiful presents and she is also boxed up as a gift as well. She comes with 3 colored gift boxes a puppy and a cake that you can decorate. My daughter loved this part. It is a little messy once you get started but is so much fun. Her clothes and shoes are in a gift box as well so it's like Christmas, and as you unbox the gifts you get to get her items to dress her. My daughter actually sat for maybe 45 minutes playing with her, she actually loved playing with the cake and the dog more. The doll is beautiful and you can actually have hours of fun playing anywhere in fact.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let’s talk about any child or adult dream. This wonderful toy came with 3 boxes and a surprise in the middle. The packaging will make any child feel like Christmas or Birthday. Easy instructions for a child and adult to assist. If you love cooking with your little one this is for them. All the different bright colors of the boxes and your child open them it will bring joy to your heart to see how happy they are.

Beautiful as always

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] From the arrival it was already a hit! When broken down to all the gifts my daughter was ready to tear into them! It’s an adorable set for animal and Barbie lovers as you get to celebrate the pets first birthday. Barbie gets an adorable outfit to wear to the party of course and her color changing hair is beautiful. We learned using an ice pack and a warm hand quickly changes the hair. She’s beautiful and easy to dress. My daughter immediately commented about how beautiful she was.
My only complaint is the dough was super sticky at first so slowly mix in water. Also to pop out the icing from the molds a lil Barbie fork makes it easier if you have no nails. My girls can’t wait to collect more and I hope they decide to maybe add a tortoise as a pet instead of just cats and dogs.

Fun Barbie has lots of surprises to unbox

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Barbie Party Unboxed Doll and Accessories is exactly what my 10 year old loves, unboxing surprises! The set comes with 4 boxes each holding the doll, a dress, shoes, presents, a cake, a pet, 2 packages of dough mix, a stirring spatula, a measuring scoop, cake decorations and a dough mold to make more cake decorations. You only need a bowl and a little bit of water to mix the dough. There are streaks of color in the doll’s hair that change color with the heat from your hand. I love seeing my 10 year old put down the electronics for a hands on, creative toy. She was able to follow the directions and mix the dough by herself.

My favorite thing about this box is the little dog you get. It's so adorable. This would be the perfect birthday present for any little person who loves Barbies. I recommend this product for kids.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My grand daughter really loved this doll. She noticed the doll was a little bigger than the regular Barbie doll. Her hair is colorful and long. It also had a couple of little presents with the doll to open up.

A very through review of Barbie Party Unboxed Doll

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Before anything else, you will need bowls for mixing and a bit of water. Part of the fun for this toy is mixing powder to become the dough that can be played with. It's like baking! You'll also need bags to store the dough, if you want to reuse it again.
Opening experience: I love that the whole package is made of cardboard. It really feels like opening presents for a birthday. I'm glad that this is NOT really a surprise box. You know exactly which doll you get as it's seen on the box. The only problem is, you can't really see the face, which can potentially be wonky.
The doll has articulation at the neck, shoulders, elbows, hips and knees. I wish there were joints at the wrist too. I despise the position of the hands. They're rotated to make it look like it's holding a cake. I think the hands being parallel with the body is better for play.
The doll has flat feet and saran hair. Glad they didn't give us cheap hair.
With cold temperature, the front hair is pink and the makeup consist of green eye shadow and a deep pink lip color. With warm temperature, the front hair is white, the eye shadow disappears and the lips become a lighter pink color.
For doll I received, the lip is printed too low on the face and one eye is slightly too high. This could be different for you. I also don't like the green eyeshadow. It feels out of place when the rest of the doll is all pink.
Doll comes with a permanent bathing suit made of a different colored plastic. This could potentially be a problem when it comes to dressing the doll in other clothes than the clothes it came with. The bathing suit is textured at the top and it's brightly colored which can show through doll t-shirts. I know as a kid, I always hated molded clothing. It limits playability and imagination.
You get a dress and and shoes. The dress has gold foil hearts that reflects beautifully but too much stretching can to rip the hearts and make it flake off so be careful.
Other accessories for the doll: dog with a removable collar, two stackable cakes, cake decorations like bows and a candle, a cake stand, three plastic presents boxes.
Accessories for making the dough: a big spatula , a measuring cup, a mold for frosting, and two packets of dough powder. Mine came in pink and mint green.
There were many problems with the play part of this set.
First, the spatulas is too bendy. The dough becomes too thick to mix and you'll have to use your hands to do l help it form completely. The spatulas really was useless. I really wish they would've made something else that could be usable for the doll. We aren't even given bowls for mixing, so why give us a spatula. We could just use a spoon. Plus, this spatula doesn't really have any use after 3 second of mixing. You can't use it with the doll since it's huge and it's really bad for it intended use. It really is a waste of plastic. They could've omitted it and just given us the that wrist articulation. Or like, a jewelry.
Second, the dough is too dry. The instruction says you only need one scoop of water but that leads to a tough and dry dough. It definitely needs a drop or two more. Also, It's very difficult to add water make it softer after you fully mix it. I don't know why. The dough also dries too fast. 5 minutes and it forms a crust. The frosting from the mold dries out in no time. It's a bit difficult to work with.
Third, it's difficult to take out the mold. The mold is flexible but it's still too hard to fully bend and pop out. Have a toothpick to help you pry it out.
Forth, the dough is too dry to stick to the cake, have water with you to help make the dough sticky.
Lastly, I kind of wish the cakes were white. It's hard to see the pink dough on a pink cake. It also makes the mint green pop out too much. Also, there's no way to store the dough from drying out. The plastic presents boxes aren't properly sealed so the dough will dry out in them. You'll need plastic bags.
Overall, I think this concept is fun! The doll itself it pretty and most of the accessories can be used over and over again. The biggest flaw is the dough, which is sad because that's the whole gimmick.
