Nice Cooktop Hood (review done prior to installation)

Our new gas cooktop is 36" and having 5 burners, we needed at least 700cfm. We searched for a hood with the minimum cfm and low sound levels, and bought the Kucht 36" hood (KRH2610A), which provides up to 900cfm. It has a number of nice features, such as dishwasher-safe SS baffle filters, 3 fan speeds, quiet operation and LED light in the center vs back of the hood like some models, and a delay-shutoff function to run the hood for 15 minutes to finish clearing heat & cooking odors. The hood came well packaged with no visible damaged, and the SS hood and duct covers have a protective film on them. However, the instructions leave a lot to be desired, are very simplistic and translated to English from another language. There is a cardboard template which will be handy to mark the holes for the anchors when installed. The instructions state, "wall anchors and screws (not included)", yet there are two each plastic screw and two each wedge anchors and screws in the box (only two are required). The six screws (provided) to install the "non-return valve" could've been 1/4" longer, as you will need very firm pressure to get them screwed back into the housing after putting the baffle in place over the thick gasket. The "valve" has a round, 7 inch exit for the 7" expandable duct, so plan for the exhaust exit accordingly. There are no instructions on the website or installation/user manual to explain where to stub out the wiring/outlet. My electrician assumed a wired connection vs plug-in (like many others), but the website does indicate it is a plug. With that, I had to change the location of the outlet. So if you are thinking about getting this unit, make sure you open it up prior to finalizing your wiring installation or your backsplash. Overall, it is a nice, commercial looking hood with a 4 year warranty, but the instructions and wiring specifications need improvement.

Nice hood but broke

So far so good. Just got it installed. Looks very high quality and the venting is as expected. Only one light bulb in the box, but that was easily resolved.
