Very fun doll!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This doll had my little girls so excited! The details are amazing, like the brush shaped like a frying pan! The color-changing hair clips are very fun too, although the color changed back much more quickly than we expected, within seconds. My daughters thought it was so cool that her hair reaches her feet! They did wish that the clip in hair extensions were the same length as the rest of the hair, but that was a very minor complaint for the amount of fun they had!

Super cute Tangles doll.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My little girl really loves this doll. Her favorite part is probably the color change hair and the little Pasquale. I like that the hair on this doll is 100% better than any of the dolls I had as a child. It doesn’t tangle nearly as much.

Love all the accessories!

With color changing hair extensions that can be used on the doll or as my daughter used them on herself. She also enjoyed the little pet lizard and all the extra hair clips that came with it. She had endless play with with this doll as she played with her in her princess play castle and reenacted the Disney Princess film.

Rapunzel Doll Is Just OK

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My five-year-old granddaughter is crazy about princesses. The minute I saw Disney’s Rapunzel Fairy-
Tale Hair Doll by Mattel, I thought it was something she would love: shimmery gown, crown, and long hair with extensions that change color. She was excited but the unboxing took forever, so the excitement wore off quickly. As usual these days, toys are not packaged to easily open and this toy was no exception. Once the box was cut open, there were dozens of tiny rubber bands to snip off.
Tale Hair Doll by Mattel, I thought it was something she would love: shimmery gown, crown, and long hair with extensions that change color. She was excited but the unboxing took forever, so the excitement wore off quickly. As usual these days, toys are not packaged to easily open and this toy was no exception. Once the box was cut open, there were dozens of tiny rubber bands to snip off.
After we got everything taken out of the box, she did love the long, soft hair. She saw the movie, “Tangled”, so she was familiar with the character. I thought the hair should have been even longer, but my granddaughter was fine with the length.
There were plenty of accessories including a sponge, hair clips, two hair extensions that change color from purple to pink and pink to blue, a frying pan hair brush, and Rapunzel’s best friend, Pascal.
After reading the directions we got a bowl of warm water. The sponge was of little use, so we just dipped the hair extensions into the water. We liked doing partial coloring, with the color lasting about one minute before changing back to the original color.
On the box, it says the doll is for ages 3+. If a five-year-old can’t open the hair clips, I don’t see how a three-year-old could, plus the clips are small and easy to lose. I had to pop open every clip and they were difficult to attach to the doll’s hair.
Why is Rapunzel’s top permanent, but the skirt removable? And there were no shoes. Pascal, who is a chameleon, remains green. It would have made sense to me to have the chameleon change color too.
My major beef with these types of dolls, where you can style their hair, is that it is too difficult for a child to do it one-handed. It would be so helpful to have the doll in a stand to stabilize so a child can style the hair with both hands. After 10 minutes, my granddaughter was not interested in playing with the doll. If only those hair clips were usable, maybe she would have enjoyed the experience more. I was disappointed in this toy for her.
However, after my negative experience, if you have a child who is old enough to play with small items and loves to collect these princess dolls from Disney, then it’s a good toy. Rapunzel is reasonably priced and found at major retailers.

Rapunzel lives up to her adventures with this doll

Rapunzel comes with lots of extras for her long and wild hair! Several pastel colored clips come with the doll, along with two colorful hair extensions. One pink and is one purple. They attatch easily to the dolls or childs hair with a barret shaped like the fire lanterns she wants to see in the film. Her handy pan comes with her and also doubles as a working brush to help her manage her long locks. The pan shaped brush has a handle and can be held in rapunzels hand. The tangled doll is wearing a shiny, detailed dress and the lower half is removable. And what heroine is complete with out her sidekick? Rapunzels Chameleon Comes with her for extra fun!

Hair Spectacular

Long locks of fun

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My girls love styling Rapunzels hair. The hair is so long they each get a section and there is plenty of pieces to share. They use this doll with their Barbie house and Barbie camper too. Regular Barbie clothes fit on her too. My girls are 9 and 6 and they love doing different hairstyles.
