Spell Making

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We were so excited about this item! My daughter (5yo) loves mixing things, making potions, and having surprises result and this was right up her alley! The packaging was great and easy to open. Inside held “recipes” that were easy to follow and the mixing cup shaped like a crown with the mixing stick was so cute! I especially loved (as a parent) that this came WITH a tray to mix in to avoid any messes! While the key to open the doors was small, my daughter loved the fact that it was a “clock” following the theme of the new movie! The recipes were easy to follow and while directions noted it would take 6 minutes to complete, it went by fast due to the “magic” happening which added to her excitement. The doll!!! The craftsmanship was excellent. Her hair was so soft and her outfit was on point! The belt that came with the doll was supposed to color change in hot/cold water, but it did not work for us. A very small minor thing in consideration of the full item, but worth mentioning for the little ones who get excited about that. Overall this has a LOT of the elements that keep kids busy and engaged: potion recipes, mixing, surprises, and unlocking special doors!

Fun interactive toy, some single use components

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This toy was very interactive and lots of fun. The first step was to make a blue slime. The second step was a "bath bomb" concept to get a key and the third was to unlock the doll and change her belt color. It was a very neat experience and my 4 year old was excited to do it and able to follow the steps independently. I only wish there was a recipe card included with common household goods to encourage future fun rather than most being a one time thing. For example, an easy at home slime recipe or vinegar/baking soda potion with the same enchanted theme. Yes we can do these things on our own but it is more fun when the toy encourages the kids to do it. The doll itself is nice, and good quality. My kids enjoy playing with it and the belt changes color in different water temperatures. It does keep them entertained. Besides the doll, the rest of the pieces are essentially single use. Although some kids may use the story book to store things. Overall we enjoyed this item and I would recommend it. The entire process from open to being done was about 30 minutes. The slime did last a few hours before drying out but of course you could store it properly to last longer.

Amazing Reveal Doll!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter LOVED the Disney Descendants: The Rise Of Red – The Sorcerer's Cookbook With Doll, Fizz, Slime & Chloe Doll Reveal Surprises! The doll goes everywhere with my daughter. We were able to make the recipes in the book with little to no mess. I loved the tray that was included to make the recipes. The unboxing was super fun! My daughter loves the box being a book. She loves the clothes, hair, and the reveal process. I am glad there was more than one recipe to make. The instructions were very clear. My daughter does wish the watch was a little bigger and there was an actual sward. The fizzy to get the watch to reveal the doll could have gone a little faster. We're so in love this this doll!

Cute surprise set

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This surprise doll reveal set is super cute! When you open the cookbook it has 2 “potions” to make. One is slime which I was a little concerned about but it ended up being great! The slime isn’t sticky at all and stays together. The second one is a fizzy bath bomb type of ball. You place it in water and out pops the key to unlock the last surprise door which is your doll! The doll is really well made. The hair is soft and the outfit is adorable. The shoes are easy to get on and off and the belt comes off and color changes in warm/cold water! Overall this toy is excellent and even after you reveal everything the “cookbook” is super cute to put on display!

Lots of surprises…overall a fun experience!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kiddos are constantly coming up with potions and mixtures on their own and this activity didn't disappoint. As soon as we opened what looked like a large book, my 7-yr-old was greeted by large, easy-to-follow graphics explaining their way through the recipes. The slime packet was easy to open and mixed pretty quickly. It was fun to watch it come together but the amount was so small that it was kind of a one and done. The fizzy bomb for the potion was pretty cool but it did get hard at the end and we eventually had to take it out and break it manually to get the charm out to open the lock; not a big deal. They enjoyed the experience. The doll was as expected for this kind of toy but my kid was more into it for the experiments. When all said and done, this was something they enjoyed doing and would do again if given the opportunity.

Fun toy for Descendant fans

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The product comes in a colorful box with many fun activities! My daughter and son loved all the recipes and it held their attention! The doll hair quality was excellent! We enjoyed playing with spells. My only complaint is the smell of the potion.

Magic and fun with a surprise!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a fun unboxing and play experience for our family! The kids worked together to follow each of the two magic spell recipes. They first made slime and then found the secret key. They were just as excited to do the spells as they were to find the doll. As Descendants fans, they are also keeping the book and key to pretend play with their own spells and concoctions! Great fun with little mess.
