Great safety backup tool

Snowmobiling in the mountains this gave me added piece of mind in the backcountry if anything happened. You can't always climb to the top of a mountain to get cell signal. Will also use in the fall during hunting season.

Got the inReach Mini to keep in touch with loved ones while hiking/backpacking. Easy to use and works well both on its own and paired with Garmin's messenger app. As expected, messages take a bit longer to send/receive with tree cover (30-45min).

Rugged. Small size makes it very portable. Messaging functions are a nice feature. Reliable global system. Battery life is good with adjusted power settings. App and user interface seem a bit clunky, but it does everything it's supposed to. It's also expensive. But an emergency device like this can be an essential part of your kit.

Switched from another brand and couldn't be happier. Love the integration with other Garmin products. Battery life is amazing and range of plans are good for all budgets. Was kind of irritated that is had to buy the "spine" as an add on to use certain accessories. But the basic carabiner works out of the box if you are just looking to clip on to a pack or have inside a pocket. Highly recommend for all out door activities or even the long road trips where cell coverage may be sporadic.

I use this for adventure motorcycling as well as mountain biking, hunting, and hiking. This was an upgrade for me from the InReach Explorer+. The battery life has been great, lasting for days while using tracking mode. It has been reliable and durable. It interfaces well with my Garmin Instinct watch. The messenger app works seamlessly. I would highly recommend the Mini 2.
