Although I haven't used this device to its full potential, it is one amazing GPS and communicator when out camping in the wilderness without cell service. Great purchase!

This is a great product, I purchased it for the GPS locator function rather than for navigating. I found the nav function to be less than user-friendly using the app, whereas there are phone apps out there that are way more intuitive and function very well in their own. The fact that there is a small screen on the device itself makes it nice to have in a pinch, but the security and peace of mind that comes from having instant SOS capability in the event of an injury in the backcountry is invaluable, and there are monthly plans for occasional users and frequent users alike, both of which are reasonable.

I have used the inReach Minis for work in the backcountry for years - they are small, light, reliable, and hold a charge for a long time. I'm excited to check out the new features and am excited to have my own for backpacking and camping adventures where cell service is not reliable. Easy to use!

A must have for outdoor activities where cell service is not available.
Is also very nice for driving without cell service. Have actually used twice just to help out stranded drivers.
