Never recreate outdoors without it!

From day hiking, to deep wilderness hunting trips. Water sports to backcountry skiing. I don't leave home without my inReach mini. Plan options are great for partial year users. Tracking is spot on and also gives my family peace of mine when I don't have cell service. A must have if you don't want to break the bank.

I've used the original inReach mini for quite some time as a guide and this one is just as good if not better, and with a better UI. I spent a month with the inReach mini 2 and had no problems, whatsoever.

Good little unit. Takes some time to work through the set up and the online stuff but once its good its gold. Use this for OHV riding in areas where there is no cell service or people for miles.

Straight forward when it comes to use and definitely makes me feel safer while backpacking in areas I don't have cell service. Great battery life, never even hit less than 50% despite hiking in cold environments over three days and nights.

I used this on a week long trip to the boundary waters. Kept loved ones informed of where we were .Also provided weather updates which were crucial during a huge storm.
