Handy and dependable

I take this with me every time I go on a hike! This device provides so much peace of mind when heading in to the backcountry, as well as providing a convenient way to check-in with my partner and parents. I appreciate the simple usage and have frequently used it to get weather updates or information I need for the day. Recommended for everyone heading to places with spotty coverage.

Super easy to use. Gives me a great sense of security while solo hunting. Able to give check ins to my husband while out of service. Tracking feature was also used a lot this season.

Essential Item for Adventurers

This item should be on hand anytime you are in the backcountry!
I solo hike and backpack all the time, and have had a couple close calls over the years. I have been able to use this device to keep in contact with friends, and arrange for them to pick me up at different exit points when I was either sick or injured. It's also great piece of mind to know I have connection to search and rescue, in the hopefully unlikely event that I am ever unable to self-rescue.
I also like that I am able to receive updated weather reports specific to my location through this device.

This is reliable, the battery lasts a long time, and it keeps my family and friends at ease while I'm out in the backcountry without service. Even if you have an iPhone with satellite capability, I've noticed the functionality of that is iffy at best. An Inreach is more powerful and will work in situations where an iPhone can't, and faster in a situation even when one can. I hope I never have a life threatening situation in the backcountry, but if I ever do, I'll be glad I have this with me!
