I like the idea of the mini2 and it has a quality that if working properly would be all you need to use for navigation. I was not able to locate water sources for a well traveled trail and I do not believe it was intended to be a program from the 80s that is almost impossible to use.. It should be a simple download the correct navigation files and go a 10 minute command. I spent two week setting up and have no confidence in using the product as a navigation device or emergency response. It seems that it is reliant on the Google network to work properly and if the Google product would only work how it is intended to work Garmin would be obsolete.

Peace of Mind

I’m a longtime Garmin product user and the InReach Mini 2 is yet another ‘go to’ product in my travel and adventure kit bag. The subscription plans are still pricey, but the Mini 2 keeps you connected. It’s peace of mind for those who can’t join you on the adventure.

Lightweight and efficient!!!

My Wife bought this for me as my Christmas present. The inReach is small and lightweight which makes it perfect to attach to my shoulder strap when I'm out backpacking. It provides my Wife and family members a peace of mind when I am out in the woods for days without cell phone service. I love the Garmin messenger app that allows me to send personalized text messages and pictures. Excellent Product!

Price and plans are terrible

Get your plans and billing right. If you cancel your membership during the month you paid in full for they shut down cancel it that day. So this company is stealing your money. And hoping and profiting off you for canceling.

Shouldn’t have bought

Bought for my father for Christmas and can’t use. It’s very difficult to set up and can’t seem to be used without a subscription. If I would’ve known I wouldn’t have bought. Very disappointed
