Small, light weight, and works perfect!

Bought this to keep with me on my trips where I may not have cell service. Took it last weekend on a 5 day trip and it didn't even use 30% of battery while updating the map every 10 minutes. Great peace of mind knowing I have communication if something goes wrong.

My safety net

I finally took the plunge and feel much better knowing that I'm always InReach. There is a bit of a learning curve and some features are not as intuitive as I'd like. I keep the manual with the device in my jeep and my reading glasses since the device font is tiny.

Will it save my life?

I was not impressed w/ the GPS features. Is pretty much a compass unless u are using your phone app. I sent my tracking info to myself and my wife which we never received. The main reason I purchased the inreach was for emergencies which thankfully I never needed. My waypoints were saved and I was able to view through my phone app. None of the features seem worth the price point, but if the SOS works as reviewed and that is your main concern then of course you can’t put a price on that.

Peace of Mind

Have been doing a lot of solo hiking, and added the InReach Mini to my safety kit last month so I could tackle harder less traveled trails. Love it.

Good product, but confusing setup and plans

I bought this a month ago on recommendation from REI. Seems like a good unit. I found the setup and plan descriptions quite confusing. I have the unit paired with my Android cell phone, but still find it confusing on how to send a text message. The first user experience could definitely be better.

My Delorme inreach was better

Garmin app has less features and in classic Garmin fashion difficult to navigate. Preform 2 or more taps in app to get to something that should be a one tap process. Do not see a real time stats, which was included with delorme app. Seems dumbed down.
