I recently bought one used 4 times , I'm not savvy. With electronics so I m not sure if it would work!

Recently purchased my mini InReach 2 and am very happy with it. No, I haven't had to s.o.s. yet but I feel better hiking and camping when I do. My only complaint is the subscription plan. When I activated it Garmin billed me for April and May. So if you activate yours, be sure to do so at the beginning of the month.

Safe feeling

I do a lot of exploring into areas where I lose cell service. Always felt a bit uneasy at times. But no more.

Easy to use

I bought this because I love to solo backpack in remote areas. It is easy to setup (make sure you reset the defaults and upgrade the software before starting), and is packed with features. My family loved the ability to track my location and the short messages they received when off the grid (Internet) that I was fine.

I really like the Inreach Mini 2 would recommend for anyone heading out to the backcountry. Wife also likes being able to check in. Would have given 5 stars but app is not as good as the Inreach itself.

Still working to make fully work

We've had it a couple of weeks and still can't get automatic location updates to work. We have been able to send texts through the Messenger app and via email. The manual texts do come with a link to a map with a pin showing device location. I'm not sure why auto updates aren't working we've gone through settings several times.
