Great device but initial setup is buggy

The combination of its small size and features make this a great addition to my backpacking/camping safety setup. My only complaint is that during the initial setup it was constantly getting hung up and I would have to restart the device. This happened maybe 4 times before it finally activated. Even then I had to connect it to my computer in order to force the screen to stop acting like it was frozen. After that it has been flawless.

Fantastic peace of mind

The interface is a bit clunky, but battery life is great to make up for it. Satellite reception can be limited in deep canyons.

Perfect for off-grid adventures

Got this for peace of mind while out in the back country and for off-roading and overlanding. Paired easily with my phone and is very user friendly. We were able to check-in with family while we were off the grid.

So easy to use

I had used the previous version with no problems. This one is even better as I find it finds satellites so much faster. I used to turn the first version on well before I started my trip so it would locate the system before I got into cover and it was even harder. This new version connects so fast, even under cover. Very happy with it and my parents are happy when I send them updates of my trips.

Great device that adds a peace of mind outside cell coverage

This device is simple to use and requires very little effort to issue an SOS call. I like Apple's iPhone 14 capability however, it requires your mobility to track a satellite across the sky as it's moving. If I fall into a ravine, all I have to do with this device is press one button and not move another finger. I don't leave civilization without it.

provides peace of mind

Never had to use it in an emergency but very handy to send messages when hiking alone without cell-service. Good to know I can call for help from it its battery life is strong and it doesnt require much from a power bank to recharge if needed. I would recomend this to a beginner or someone looking for a simple satellite phone.
