All you need for a little piece of mind

Mini 2 inReach. I was happy to have the SOS on short duration climbs, backcountry skiing, hikes. The navigation and message features are simplistic yet effective.

Keep inReach when you need too

Bought this for my 2022 Elk hunt in Colorado. My unit did not have cell phone coverage. I wanted to make sure that I was able to communicate with loved ones while in this remote area of Colorado.
It worked flawlessly to let my family know that I was safe, gave my family a peace of mind that they were able to reach me if needed. I also had the safety net that if I needed help it was just an inReach away.
Easy to use, must set up an account with Garmin & select a plan. This was a little pricey but well worth the cost for peace of mind.
This can be used for hunting, fishing, hiking, or any remote activity that does not have cell service.

Convenient and a necessity in the backcountry kit

This is a necessary part of a backcountry kit, in my opinion. Having the ability to let a loved one track you and being able to text or send SOS in case of an emergency is invaluable. I have used this in the remote Alaska backcountry and would not go without it.
The interface is easy to use. The app required for the inReach is a bit wonky, but it works.

The inReach is small but allows for massive peace of mind. It puts my wife as ease knowing I can check in with her each day while I'm in the backcountry. This year on a deer hunt I was able to call in a wildfire that was started by lightning with precise coordinates. It will always a a place in my pocket while I'm adventuring.

Great compact sized satellite communicator! Several improvements over its predecessor, longer battery life and easy to use app. Only complaint is the mini 2 didn't come with the spine mount adapter :-(

I bought the InReach Mini 2 last fall for a couple of hunts where I would be alone and without cell service. It performed very well. It was easy to connect my phone rather than text from the Garmin. I did the basic plan which allowed me to send unlimited, preset, text messages. The preset messages can't be changed but allow you to check in when you want and include your location. I didn't have to charge the battery on either trip. Anyone from a beginner t an expert would be able to use and benefit from the InReach.

Great Little Device

It's a great, durable, and light satellite phone. Definitely one of the smallest you can get, (one of the main reasons I bought it), easy to use both with your phone and the preset messages. Takes a little while to get used to, but after a little practice it's awesome. Would highly recommend for many outdoor uses.
