Peace of mind

The in reach products are an easy way to communicate when cell phones won't reach the area I'm in. I use it when hunting in valleys that my cell doesn't get service and my wife takes one trail riding horses. You clip it onto your belt or bino harness and forget about it, but you know it's there if you need it.

Fantastic for backpacking through the N Cascades with very little cell service. Held up through downpours and freezing temperatures. Battery life lasted for a full 5 day trip (turning it off when at camp or not using it). Just have to make sure your phone is charged but has some preset texts you can send if it isn't. Love how small and light it is

Must-Have in the Backcountry!

I am a bike coach, canyon runner, river runner, and hiker living in the desert and the mountains. This is by far the most durable device I've used! I can wear it outside my backpack and it can take a fall any time. Setup was super easy, and Garmin's new membership tiers are really user friendly based on your activity level. I haven't had to use it for a distress call yet but being able to check in when I'm out for long periods brings huge peace of mind.
