The "Apple" of the Outdoors

This In Reach unit isn't perfect, but it's pretty darn close. Given the size and capability of the inReach Mini 2 I can honestly say that I haven't seen another product that even comes close. Traveling in the backcountry wilderness a person should always have a device like this. You never know when the unknown will happen and this device will help give you piece of mind. I hope Garmin continues to improve their software and user interface though with the Explore app. It's still a touch glitchy and needs some work. I'm pretty deep in the Garmin world on the water, in the backcountry and (soon) with dog training. I like what Garmin is doing and look forward to more innovations and improvements.

Peace of mind is worth so much!

Brought this along with me when I did a week long backcountry Moto trip. Not only did it give me peace of mind should something bad happen. It also provided the same to my wife and father who were checking my location and making sure I made it to designated spots or I could update them if plans changed.

Great for communicating off grid

I travel a lot where there is no cell service, having my mini for navigation and communication has been a game changer. I definitely recommend. My family has two and will be getting more for all adults
